God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life--abundant and eternal life in Heaven.

The Bible says:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; ..." Jeremiah 31:3

"[Jesus says] I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (to have life in all its fullness)." John 10:10

Why don't most people have this peace and abundant life that God planned for us to have?

Man's Problem: Separation from God

God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and a freedom of choice. We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God.

The Bible says,

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

"If we say that we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth." 1 John 1:8 (TLB)

All of us have sinned against God and this sin has broken our relationship with Him. As a result, sin causes us to be separated from our God who loves us. Worst of all, sin has an eternal consequence ...

"For the wages of sin is death, ..." Romans 6:23

This includes eternal separation from God in hell.

How to Get Saved?

Throughout time, man has tried to bridge the gap with God by religion, philosophy and doing good works. But none of these methods can save us or rid us of our sins and reconcile us back to God.

The Bible says that there is only one way ...

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."' John 14:6

Jesus Christ died on the Cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.

The Bible says...

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ." 1 Timothy 2:5

"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." 1 Peter 3:18

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

What must I do now to be reconciled back to God?

Here's what you need to do:

1. Admit that you are a sinner and need to turn from your sins (repentance).

2. Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died to pay for your sins and He is alive today.

3. Confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and through prayer invite Him to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)

Jesus has given salvation, healing, and countless benefits to all who call upon His name. These benefits can be yours if you receive Him into your heart by praying this prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I admit I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who had died and rose again, is sitting at the right hand of God. With His blood He has redeemed me. I believe in my heart, and confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life from now on. I declare right now that I am a born-again child of God. I am free from sin, and full of the righteousness of God. I am saved in Jesus' name, Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer sincerely from your heart, then the Bible says that you are saved now! Welcome to your new life in Christ!

To grow in your new Christian life, it is important to study the Bible and to pray everyday to God in the name of Jesus. You learn all these in a biblical church, if you do not have a regular church yet, you can join us at Shalom International Fellowship (GBI Damai Sejahtera) or find a Spirit filled, Bible believing church and start attending it regularly as soon as you can.
